Gas hot water rebate
Inefficient hot water systems cost you more and have a detrimental effect on our environment. Increase your household's energy efficiency by switching your peak electric hot water system with a high-efficiency gas hot water system to save energy, the environment and money. The Victorian Government can help with the cost of new hot water systems for those that are eligible for a rebate.

Reduce your use of one of our most precious resources by installing water-saving devices and the Victorian Government will help pay the cost. Rebates are available for rainwater tanks and connections, grey water systems, dual-flush toilets, water-efficient showerheads and a host of other water-saving products.

Household appliances, specifically washing machines and refrigerators, account for around 12.8% of greenhouse gas emissions in a typical Victorian household and 5.1% of a households energy usage.  This equates to $170 per year spent on energy used for refrigeration and clothes washing.
