Grants are available for schools and organisations that are hosting an Australia Post Kids Teaching Kids Week event that includes students from five or more schools.

Grants will be issued on a first come first served basis and applications will close on the 31st July 2011.

The grants are designed to assist you plan your Australia Post Kids Teaching Kids Week event and provide resources for your event. Grants can be used to cover the costs of workshop resources, catering, transport and teacher replacement fees etc.

To be eligible for the grant you must:


1. Submit a fully completed Australia Post Kids Teaching Kids Week event proposal form .

2. Have students* from 5 or more schools attend a single event. For example an event hosted with 3 schools participating followed by a separate event on a different date with two schools participating doesn’t qualify. Whereas an event on a single day that has students from 5 schools participating does qualify.
*It is acceptable to have a single student represent a school.

3. Provide evidence of promotion that recognise Australia Post and Kids Teaching Kids as sponsors of your event. The minimum recognition required is a mention of Australia Post and Kids Teaching Kids in your school or organisational newsletter. Other welcomed pieces of evidence could also include documents and web links to items such as school blogs, media coverage etc., media templates and logo.

4. Complete a brief event evaluation of your event and Australia Post Kids Teaching Kids Week program, template available online.

5. Host your Australia Post Kids Teaching Kids Week event in Australia.

6. Provide an invoice by 31st July 2011. Grants will be issued once all of the above requirements have been fulfilled. We strongly encourage you to submit all grant documentation within two weeks of your event taking place.

7. Grants will be forfeited if the supporting grant documents have not been received before 1st November.
